Hello, One Piece Card Game enthusiasts! I'm Raphterra, and for those who follow the competitive scene, you know I've been deeply invested in Green OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-912 since her release in OP07. While she's often considered an off-meta pick, my wide experience with the deck, coupled with significant tournament placements—including championship placements at the 2025 Championship Series Finals and 2024 Grand Asia Open, alongside top finishes in events like the 2024 Bandai Card Fest and 2024 Championship Series Preliminaries —establishes me as one of the most accomplished OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-912 players in the world.
In this article, I'll break down what I consider the core build for OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910, offering detailed explanations for each card choice. Then, I'll guide you on how to tailor that core, suggesting additions based on the specific leaders you anticipate facing.
To illustrate these concepts, I'll also share sample decklists that I've piloted to victory across the OP10, EB02, and OP11 formats. If you're looking to explore the strategic depth of this leader, you're in the right place.
The Core Bonney Cards
Core Supernova Units
ST02-007-jewelry-bonney-449 is the absolute must-have searcher for Green Supernova decks, so running 4 copies is non-negotiable! Her "Activate: Main" effect means you can use it every turn, which also makes her a fantastic pseudo-blocker, as your opponent will often be forced to attack her.
EB01-012-cavendish-193 is hands-down the best mid-game Supernova unit, so 4 copies are essential. Whether you have him in your opening hand or not can really dictate the rest of the game, as he secures the extra DON you need for your leader effect and lets you execute the swarm game plan.
He's especially crucial against heavy removal decks like OP09-001-shanks-233 or OP09-081-marshalldteach-633, where his survival for just one turn can significantly boost your win chances. EB01-012-cavendish-193 providing extra DONs over multiple turns creates a snowball effect, letting you build a powerful board alongside your other characters. He's also vital against aggressive decks like OP01-060-donquixote-doflamingo-859 and OP05-002-belo-betty-673, and in Green mirror matches!
Searchable 2K Counters
Searchable 2k counters are a must for any deck, and we've got two great Scratchmen Apoo variations. Both offer utility against specific matchups.
ST02-008-scratchmen-apoo-478's DON resting ability can be super strong against leaders relying on defensive event counters like OP03-040-nami-529, or most Purple Straw Hat Pirate leaders using OP09-078-gum-gum-giant.
EB01-015-scratchmen-apoo-411, on the other hand, can often catch opponents off guard by resting key low-cost utility units like OP09-050-nami and OP09-090-doc-q. More commonly, you can disrupt your opponent's defensive game plan by resting low-cost blockers like OP01-039-killer and OP05-030-donquixote-rosinante-176.
I usually run a minimum of 6 copies of these 2k counters. You can run more depending on your preference, and you should also adjust which Apoo variant you run based on the decks you expect to face.
Boss Units
Your choice of boss units is crucial, and it can really make or break your tournament runs. Depending on your choice and ratios, you can snowball to victory or crash and burn. All these cards are counterless, so getting the right ratio is key.
OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770 is currently the only Supernova boss unit worth running, and he's key in securing many matchups. He's a great defensive wall against aggressive decks like OP01-060-donquixote-doflamingo-859, OP01-001-roronoa-zoro-924, and OP05-002-belo-betty-673. OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770 also protects your units in midrange matchups where board advantage is vital, like against OP10-001-smoker-112 and the OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 Mirror. He's also a win button against most Yellow decks that struggle to remove him, like OP10-099-eustasscaptainkid-691, OP08-058-charlotte-pudding-965, and OP05-098-enel-426.
Matchups where he's less effective are against Red decks that can easily remove him by lowering his power, like OP09-001-shanks-233. Against most other leaders, playing OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770 feels amazing!
I run a minimum of 3 copies, but I'll go up to 4 if I expect many matchups where he's a must-have.
ST16-004-shanks-303 is one of the more recent boss units added to Green, and he's given OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 much-needed big unit removal. He has an immediate board impact, and his 11k stat line forces your opponent to answer him, or they'll start losing board units or life.
He's key to getting a big tempo advantage against midrange and control matchups like OP09-001-shanks-233, OP11-040-monkeydluffy-620, OP07-079-rob-lucci, and the OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 Mirror. Against OP09-081-marshalldteach-633, you can even just play him for the 11k stat line! However, ST16-004-shanks-303 can sometimes clog your hand against fast aggressive decks.
Run a minimum of 2 copies, and up to 4 if you expect more midrange/control decks.
OP06-035-hody-jones-511 is one of Green's best cards, letting us (1) secure lethal with Rush by resting DON/blockers or (2) implement the starve game plan and clear important characters. OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910's defensive leader ability lets us avoid getting too punished by OP06-035-hody-jones-511's life cost.
He's good in almost every matchup, but shines most in the OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 Mirror and OP09-081-marshalldteach-633.
Run 3-4 copies, depending on the meta and the count of your other counterless cards.
OP04-031-donquixote-doflamingo-175 is another boss unit that swings tempo. His on-play effect stops the momentum of aggro midrange decks like OP01-060-donquixote-doflamingo-859, OP10-042-usopp-752, and OP05-060-monkeydluffy-174, and freezes multiple boss units against leaders like OP09-001-shanks-233. However, at 10 DON, he can be awkward to play without a DON restand unit like EB01-012-cavendish-193, OP10-030-smoker-638, or OP07-021-urouge-463.
OP04-031-donquixote-doflamingo-175 used to be OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910's premium boss unit, but ST16-004-shanks-303 has lowered his necessity.
Run 0-3 copies, depending on what you expect to face.
Ahhh, OP06-118-roronoa-zoro-614, the classic fan favorite! He has a very cool effect, which is why Green players like him, but he's often a gamble as your main win condition. He has no immediate board impact, so you can be punished if your opponent removes him. Against aggressive decks, you often don't have the luxury to play him without losing all your life.
He shines against slower decks that can't easily remove him, like the OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 Mirror. He's also quite good in OP11 against OP11-040-monkeydluffy-620 as a late-game pressure card, but even then, he can be removed with OP04-056-gum-gum-red-roc-823.
A common misconception is that he's a must-have for OP09-081-marshalldteach-633, but that matchup usually comes down to your early-mid game.
He's a meta call, run 0 copies most of the time, unless the meta calls for it where you need to run 1-3 copies.
OP04-119-donquixote-rosinante-177, like OP06-118-roronoa-zoro-614, is another fan favorite. Green doesn't usually swarm, so his effect is fun. However, he requires many 5-cost characters, and can be a dead hand card without them. His protection effect matters sometimes, but OP10-032-tashigi-893 is generally better.
I don't recommend him over other boss units, but you can run up to 2 copies if you love him.
Non-Supernova Support Cards
OP10-032-tashigi-893 is a game-changer for OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910! This recent addition to Green allows us to stand toe-to-toe with removal-heavy decks like OP09-001-shanks-233, OP07-079-rob-lucci, OP09-081-marshalldteach-633, and OP07-038-boa-hancock-390, all while being a handy 2k counter. Since OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 thrives on building a strong board, OP10-032-tashigi-893's blanket protection for our Green cards is invaluable.
You should always run 4 copies of this card.
OP10-030-smoker-638 is another excellent OP10 addition. He's a versatile mid-game pressure card that synergizes beautifully with OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910. Think of him as extra copies of EB01-012-cavendish-193, a key card for our strategy. Having OP10-030-smoker-638 smooths out our mulligans and increases consistency, as DON restand is crucial for OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910. Plus, his Banish effect helps us execute the starve game plan in aggro and midrange matchups, and force out counters in late-game scenarios.
OP10-030-smoker-638 is essential against OP09-001-shanks-233, the OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 Mirror, OP10-001-smoker-112, and generally solid against most decks. However, being counterless, the number of copies should be adjusted based on your boss unit count.
Generally, 2-3 copies of OP10-030-smoker-638 are recommended. A meta where 4 copies are needed is conceivable, but not currently the case in OP10 to OP11.
With the number of counterless boss units in our deck, OP05-037-because-the-side-of-justice-will-be-whichever-side-wins is vital for discarding bricked cards.
As a rule, I run 2 copies if I have 15 or fewer counterless cards. For builds with 16 or more, consider 3-4 copies.
OP08-023-carrot-205 is a strong, generic Green card, commonly seen in metas dominated by aggro and midrange. While slightly weaker against late-game control, she's still a 1k counter at worst.
OP08-023-carrot-205 shines against decks like OP01-060-donquixote-doflamingo-859, OP10-001-smoker-112, the OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 Mirror, OP09-081-marshalldteach-633, OP01-001-roronoa-zoro-924, and OP05-002-belo-betty-673.
Run 2-4 copies, depending on the prevalence of aggro decks.
OP01-052-raizo-480 is a personal favorite tech card that's consistently performed well in my builds.
He acts as an extra ST02-007-jewelry-bonney-449 searcher and has secured me many wins in high-stakes tournaments. Often, opponents are too busy dealing with other threats to worry about him. Given OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910's leader ability, OP01-052-raizo-480 frequently replaces himself, if not outright winning games with card draw. Hiding him behind OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770 is ideal for extra card advantage. And at worst, he's a 1k counter!
This might be controversial, but I believe a minimum of 1 OP01-052-raizo-480 is necessary for any OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 build.
The Blocker Lineup
Low-cost blockers are essential in OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 decks, primarily for synergy with OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770. They make opponents think twice before attacking OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770 and can buy us crucial turns in the late game.
OP05-030-donquixote-rosinante-176 is the most preferred blocker unit, thanks to his amazing ability to protect rested units from KO effects. This means he protects our units even when rested by OP06-035-hody-jones-511 or ST18-001-uso-hachi-483. He also protects against unblockable effects from OP07-057-perfume-femur and ST01-016-diable-jambe and KO units like ST16-004-shanks-303, OP07-085-stussy-240, and OP05-093-rob-lucci-445.
Despite being unsearchable, OP05-030-donquixote-rosinante-176's protection effect warrants running 4 copies.
Partnered with OP05-030-donquixote-rosinante-176 are the low-cost, searchable Supernova blockers.
ST02-004-caponegangbege-162 is the cheapest of the three, making him easy to play on any turn you draw him. The extra DON you save might seem minor, but having that extra DON to allocate for playing units or making stronger attacks can be surprisingly valuable. However, a major downside of ST02-004-caponegangbege-162 is that he's counterless, so he can become a bricked card in hand, especially in late-game situations like when you draw him from your life cards on your opponent's turn, or when you need all your DON to play your boss units. He's also particularly bad against OP09-081-marshalldteach-633, as OP09-090-doc-q can remove him instantly, and you can't use him to counter.
OP01-039-killer is the next option, costing 1 more than ST02-004-caponegangbege-162, but he's a 1k counter card, meaning he's never truly a dead draw. He also replaces himself upon blocking, giving OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 much-needed draw power in the late game. He shines against decks that don't have clean ways to remove him, especially in grindy late games where every draw matters, like against OP09-001-shanks-233 and OP11-040-monkeydluffy-620.
The final option is OP07-031-bartolomeo. He's the most expensive of the three, but he has the flexibility to become an attacker if needed, which particularly shines against OP09-081-marshalldteach-633. His higher cost and attack also make him slightly harder to remove with cost-based removal cards like OP05-093-rob-lucci-445 or attack-based removal cards like OP03-013-marco or ST21-017-gum-gum-mole-pistol. In some games, he can also provide additional value by giving you hand filtering when paired with ST02-007-jewelry-bonney-449, OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770, or OP06-035-hody-jones-511. Given the number of counterless cards we have in the deck, this hand filtering effect can win games in specific situations.
Which searchable Supernova blocker you should run ultimately comes down to personal preference. You should run 2-4 copies of these in your deck. My personal preference is OP01-039-killer due to the card draw he provides.
Tech Cards
Alright, let's talk tech! These cards aren't core, but they can definitely add some spice to your deck, depending on your playstyle or the current meta.
Players used to run OP07-021-urouge-463 a lot with EB01-012-cavendish-193 as a second DON restand option. You can drop him on curve when going second, and he keeps the DON flowing without needing to attack – pretty neat!
He's a solid pick against decks that try to steal the first turn from you, like those pesky EB02-010-monkeydluffy-761 decks.
You can run 0-4 copies, depending on whether you prefer him or OP10-030-smoker-638 for that DON restand. Personally, I lean towards OP10-030-smoker-638 for the mid-game pressure, but OP07-021-urouge-463 is a blocker and has a 1k counter, which is always nice. A combination of both cards would work too!
Before OP10-032-tashigi-893 showed up, OP07-029-basil-hawkins-296 helped OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 deal with removal-heavy decks. But now, OP10-032-tashigi-893 protects way better, making OP07-029-basil-hawkins-296 a bit of a liability since he's counterless. You're usually better off giving those counterless slots to boss units that can really swing games.
You can run 0-2 copies if you really love the card.
OP07-026-jewelry-bonney-852 is a tech card that can throw a wrench into your opponent's on-curve plays, like OP09-009-bennbeckman-999 in OP09-001-shanks-233 or OP06-119-sanji-parallel in OP11-040-monkeydluffy-620. You really only use her in specific matchups, so I don't usually include her unless those matchups are everywhere in the meta.
You can run 0-2 copies, and hey, she's a 1k counter, so multiple copies won't hurt too much if you have the space.
EB02-015-jewelry-bonney-833 is EB02's only OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 support, and she's... well, she's alright. Her 7 cost and 7k power make her tough to remove, but that's about it. Those slots are usually better for generically strong Green cards.
You can run 0-2 copies.
Back in the day, before OP10-032-tashigi-893 and OP10-030-smoker-638, players built OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 with Supernova and Donquixote Pirates cards. This gave them consistent access to OP04-031-donquixote-doflamingo-175 and OP05-034-baby-5-368 as a pseudo-blocker/searcher.
But with no new Green Donquixote Pirates cards and the presence of powerful non-searchable alternatives like ST16-004-shanks-303, OP10-032-tashigi-893, and OP10-030-smoker-638, this engine is now pretty inconsistent.
I wouldn't recommend it until we get some more Green Donquixote Pirates cards.
ST02-013-eustasscaptainkid is a cool pseudo-boss card that some players used instead of OP07-029-basil-hawkins-296 in OP09. His restand works great against OP09-081-marshalldteach-633, and his 7 cost keeps him safe from a lot of removal. But he lacks a counter, so other boss units are usually better.
You include OP01-054-xdrake in metas where low-cost aggro decks are running wild. I used him in some tournaments where I expected to face plenty of OP01-060-donquixote-doflamingo-859, and he did great. His searchability is handy, and he's a 1k counter at worst.
Run 0-1 copies, based on how much aggro you expect to see.
Before OP10, OP01-033-izo-308 was a premium 2k counter. Now, OP10-032-tashigi-893 takes that spot instead. OP01-033-izo-308 helps implement the starve gameplan against decks like OP01-060-donquixote-doflamingo-859 and OP01-001-roronoa-zoro-924.
You can run 0-2 copies, but remember, they take slots from searchable Supernova 2k counters, so your searches might be less consistent.
OP02-029-carrot-parallel restands DON and counters for 2k! I used to run her as a EB01-012-cavendish-193/OP07-021-urouge-463 substitute, since her 5 cost keeps her safe from a lot of removal.
But OP10-032-tashigi-893's just better now. You can run 0-2 copies, especially if you have OP04-119-donquixote-rosinante-177 in your deck.
OP08-036-electrical-luna is a great stall card against aggro and midrange decks like EB02-010-monkeydluffy-761 and OP01-001-roronoa-zoro-924. The trigger stops attacks, but it's overall a very situational counterless card, so I rarely use it.
Run 0-2 copies, based on preference.
ST02-009-trafalgar-law can catch your opponents off guard, especially with EB01-012-cavendish-193. But he only really works with EB01-012-cavendish-193, and we don't have other Supernova cards that have high-impact effects when attacking.
Run 0-1 copies as a fun tech, since he's a 1k counter at worst.
OP10-025-enel draws and filters cards, which is nice. But I find this situational in OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910. OP01-052-raizo-480 does this better.
Run 0-2 copies, based on preference.
The Bonney Core Build and How to Complete It
Alright, now that we've explored most of the cards you can run in a OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910 deck, let's take a peek at what a solid core build looks like!
Remember, the cards you add to this core will depend on the decks you expect to face. So, I've put together a handy list of cards I'd recommend adding for each meta matchup:
- OP09-001-shanks-233: ST16-004-shanks-303, OP10-030-smoker-638, OP01-039-killer, OP04-031-donquixote-doflamingo-175, OP06-035-hody-jones-511, OP07-026-jewelry-bonney-852
- OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910: OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770, OP10-030-smoker-638, OP08-023-carrot-205, OP06-035-hody-jones-511, OP06-118-roronoa-zoro-614
- OP11-040-monkeydluffy-620: ST16-004-shanks-303, OP06-035-hody-jones-511, OP06-118-roronoa-zoro-614, OP01-039-killer
- EB02-010-monkeydluffy-761: OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770, OP04-031-donquixote-doflamingo-175, OP06-035-hody-jones-511, OP08-023-carrot-205, OP01-039-killer, OP07-021-urouge-463
- OP09-081-marshalldteach-633: OP06-035-hody-jones-511, OP10-030-smoker-638, OP07-031-bartolomeo, OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770, OP08-023-carrot-205, OP06-118-roronoa-zoro-614, OP07-021-urouge-463, OP07-026-jewelry-bonney-852
- OP01-060-donquixote-doflamingo-859: OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770, OP08-023-carrot-205, OP01-039-killer, OP04-031-donquixote-doflamingo-175
- OP10-001-smoker-112: OP10-030-smoker-638, OP06-118-roronoa-zoro-614, OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770, OP06-035-hody-jones-511, OP08-023-carrot-205
- OP05-060-monkeydluffy-174: OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770, OP04-031-donquixote-doflamingo-175, OP08-023-carrot-205, OP01-039-killer, OP07-021-urouge-463
Sample Deck Builds
And that brings us to the exciting part – sample deck lists! I've been tinkering and testing, and I'm thrilled to share some builds that have not only performed well but have also secured me some tournament wins. Let's dive in and see what's been working! If you take the core build and apply the recommended additions for your expected matchups, you'll arrive at something similar!
OP10 Bonney - CS 1v1 Finals Winning Decklist
This was the decklist I used to win the CS 1v1 Finals National Tournament. I built this list to specifically target OP09-001-shanks-233 and OP01-060-donquixote-doflamingo-859. With these matchups in mind, I added more copies of ST16-004-shanks-303, OP01-051-eustasscaptainkid-770, and OP08-023-carrot-205 to the basic deck core. I also ran two copies of OP07-026-jewelry-bonney-852 to disrupt the on-curve plays of OP09-001-shanks-233.
EB02 Bonney - Flagship Winning Decklist
Once EB02 was released, I found success with a modified version of my CS Finals winning decklist, where I replaced OP07-026-jewelry-bonney-852 for OP07-021-urouge-463 to address the matchup against EB02-010-monkeydluffy-761.
OP11 Bonney - Flagship Winning Decklist
OP11 is the current format that I'm playing and I've had to change the decklist quite a bit to adapt to the new meta menace, OP11-040-monkeydluffy-620. This decklist is the one I found the most recent success with, but I still plan to make changes to it as the OP11 meta develops. I had to add more copies of ST16-004-shanks-303 and OP06-035-hody-jones-511 for the OP11-040-monkeydluffy-620 matchup. I also added one more copy of OP05-037-because-the-side-of-justice-will-be-whichever-side-wins due to the increased count of counterless cards in the list.
Conclusion
And there you have it! We've journeyed through the core of OP07-019-jewelry-bonney-910's power, explored the tech options, and peeked at some winning deck lists.
Remember, this guide is just a starting point – the real magic happens when you adapt and personalize your build to your own playstyle and the ever-evolving meta. So, go forth, experiment, and have a blast commanding the Supernovas! With a bit of practice and a sprinkle of Bonney's unpredictable charm, you'll be turning tables and taking names in no time. Happy dueling!
